Since two months ago, I’ve started building a habit of drinking three cups of water every day. I hadn’t literally drunk a tiny cup of water a day. Also, since I liked having a meal with Cola, my body was often hydrated only by Cola. Even a year ago, I used to drink a regular cola, which contains a lot of sugar per a cup. I assume that my health might’ve been going worse if I kept living with the bad habit.
About two months ago, I started getting into the habit of drinking three cups of water a day. 🤖: “Since two months ago” → since와 ago 는 같이 쓰지 않아요. since 는 지속, ago 는 과거의 시점 “building a habit”은 문법상 맞지만 “building up a habit” 혹은 “getting into the habit”이 더 자연스러움.

Of course, I already knew that drinking Cola instead of water is a bad habit. Many youtube videos keep saying to reduce having sugar, hydrate myself often, and not grab a cup of coffee. Especially for me, coffee is the worst drink since I’ve been taking Concerta every day and it’s also a substance for stimulating my brain.
Many Youtube videos keep telling people to cut down on sugar, stay hydrated, and avoid coffee. limit sugar consumption / cut down on sugar stay hydrated / drink enough water 🤖: “not grab a cup of coffee” → 너무 구체적. “avoid coffee”가 깔끔함. “reduce having”은 어색. “reduce sugar intake”가 정확함.
Especially for me, coffee is the worst because I take Concerta every day, and caffeine overstimulates my brain. 🤖: “substance”는 약물 느낌이라 너무 과함. “for stimulating my brain” → 너무 직역투.
Anyways, I’ve drunk around three cups of water a day which is a good start for me. When I was 20 years old, I took a health class from the gym nearby my parents’ house. And my health trainer said me that I should drink 2L water every day! Obviously, I couldn’t believe the fact that I need to torture me with that much water. I actually tried to drink 2L, but drinking lots of water without no prepration was just painful to me. So after my private class was done, I stopped my life with water.
Anyway, I’ve been drinking about three cups of water a day, which feels like a good start for me. 🤖: “Anyway”가 표준.

However, these days are a bit different from then. Firstly, I admitted that it’s not sustainable to begin with the goal in the sky. That’s why my daily goal is set to 3 cups of water. Also, I installed the app which I can manage the track of habits to make myself remember it. I’ve been using TickTick, and I’d like to recommend people who always forget a thing which you wanted to keep doing. It gives me a notification at 10:00, 13:00 and 18:00 which is the time I usually feel thirsty. Once you build a habit, it’ll not be a stressful thing since I’ve got familiar to that for a while.
I also installed an app to help me keep track of my habits and remind me to drink water. 🤖: 문장 구조가 복잡하고 어색함. “manage the track of habits”는 번역투. keep track of habits / monitor habits / track progress remind myself / set reminders
It notifies me at 10, 1, and 6 - right around the times I usually start feeling thirsty. 🤖: “which is the time” → 문법상 맞지만 너무 길고 딱딱함.
Once you build the habit, it won’t feel stressful anymore since I’ve gotten used to it. 🤖: “I’ve got familiar to that” ❌ → “I’ve gotten used to it”. “it’ll not be”보단 “it won’t be”
